MiKayla Porter is a Chicago based creative. Although she was born in Chicago, she has had the pleasure of being able to travel, live, and experience life all over the country. She started off her fine arts career as a painter but soon discovered her love and passion for photography, specifically portrait and fashion photography. She is well versed in being in front of the lens as a model but her passion is truly being seen behind the scenes and working behind the camera. MiKayla is currently freelancing as a photographer and creative director. She has collaboratively worked with many music artist, up and coming models, designers and makeup brands. Since starting as a professional freelance photographer, MiKayla has had the opportunity of her work being featured in newspaper articles, online beauty magazines, cover art for music projects and more.
MiKayla is currently attending Columbia College Chicago pursing her Bachelor of Fine Arts. She will be graduating in the Fall of 2020 with her degree majoring in Photography and with a minor in Marketing. MiKayla also styles and does the makeup for all of her creative freelance shoots. She occasionally takes bookings for outside events such as weddings and concerts in her spare time. MiKayla is currently working on personal passion projects as well as taking on any inquires for freelance bookings.
